VINTAGE TRUNK SHOW with Three amazing LOCAL Designers…

RAPTOR JEWELRY feather and leather accessories, VINTAGE IS FOR LOVERS home goods and RECLAIMED ACCESSORIES one-of-a-kind wearable art

- RAPTOR JEWELRY…. is a custom jewelry line that embraces eccentricity. Each pair has a personality and a name to match! In addition to charisma, each pair carries a bit of Native American culture by means of PRECIOUS STONES, FEATHERS AND LEATHER. They’re all hand made rendering no two pair alike, so revel in the beauty and individuality of Raptor.

- VINTAGE IS FOR LOVERS…Once upon a time, in a beautiful beach town in Southern California, a bohemian mama named Samantha fell in love with a dream; to celebrate and curate the arts and traditions of our past, present, and future.

Vintage is for Lovers is an inspired, lifestyle collection of stories untold and dreams imagined. Beginning with a collection of PILLOWS, designed and created using VINTAGE, HEIRLOOM QUILTS and 100% ORGANIC FABRICS, Samantha is committed to making a difference and living change through sustainability practices and social enterprise.

- RECLAIMED… a designer that loves to create new women’s accessories out of old treasures. These reclaimed memories are made into ONE0OF-A-KIND WEARABLE ART. Every old piece of cloth or button has a history behind it. Imagine where it once was? Who wore it? It has always made me happy to create by restoring and reclaiming old items and breathing new life into them. It is exciting for me to make a special keepsake out of something that has been buried in the back of a closet or drawer and long forgotten. These treasured memories find their way into my heart and become keepsakes for life. A discarded scarf, handkerchief, tie, dress, suit or notion, are the key ingredients used to create a new life out of a forgotten past. Let me use my magic to conjure up a reclaimed design just for you!

Fashion Forward & Backwards

Modern luxe and vintage looks pair together beautifully at Macalistaire at 1850 in Laguna Beach. Blend different decades and styles and high and low ticket items. “Combine pieces you love,” says Rachiel Macalistaire, fashion vintage queen and source to stylists. “Vintage affords individual style and luxury in balance with price,” she adds. At her Pacific Coast Highway boutique, you’ll find vintage home decor, art, clothing and jewelry. Shop amongst Indian tapestries, Moroccan lamps, Persian carpets and Asian pieces with couture mixed in. The surprise factor and glorious backstories of Macalistaire pieces will turn heads and let you leave your fashion footprint — in a very green, sustainable style that smacks of individuality. Who knows, you may find that Versace ‘70s blouse with batwing sleeves to pair with your current runway love. Need some inspiration? Visit Rachiel (psst, she’ll be having a holiday trunk show, and there’s always her monthly Monday vendor show).
